The Long Furlong Community Association (LFCA) was formed in 1986 by a group of local people living on the estate. Long Furlong estate includes the area from Alexander Road to Langley Road (around Dunmore Road).
Each committee member is a volunteer offering their time to our local community. The group is responsible for the centres interior decor, finances, bookings, cleaning staff, alarm system, insurance. They also check the centre after each weekend hire.
The committee holds its Annual General Meeting after April of each year, where a new committee is elected. LFCA is always looking to recruit new members, as many hands make light work! If you think you would be interested in joining us, we’d be happy to meet you.
No matter what level of commitment you could offer, be it monthly at meetings & one hall duty a month, or annually helping at an event, your contribution would be invaluable.
Committee Meetings- General meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 8pm in the Badger hall. Meetings run for approximately 1.5 hours and we welcome any local resident who wishes to join us! That’s over 1200 homes!
